Makerspace

Thanks to a generous $1,500 grant from the North Clackamas Education Foundation, Mrs. Struckmeier and Mrs. Norton were able to create a Makerspace classroom that serves all classrooms, grades K-5. All teachers are able to select a weekly time to go to the Makerspace and enrich learning with various materials. There are planned activities that support reading, writing, math and science activities, along with opportunities for students to just be creative using variety of resources. There are also several types of  robots appropriate for all levels that encourage problem solving and coding skills.

A note from Mrs. Norton and Mrs. Struckmeier: Our dream is for students to have a space where they can use their creativity and imagination to extend their learning and grow their curiosity. It is a great space to collaborate with classmates and have fun!! We really appreciate all the support from families who have been sending in wonderful items for the students. THANK YOU!!

Please check out the Makerspace WISHLIST and consider helping, if you can. Makerspace is always looking for Lysol wipes, markers, cotton balls, craft sticks, coffee filters, hole punch, paint daubers, and marbles.
